This is an old review I wrote for another site
Another great wine from the San Sebastian winery tour that was not only enjoyable but with some cooking potential we shall discuss in a bit. This was truly an interesting wine for me as it is made from Muscadine grapes (one of the native varietals), of which I have had very few made from this grape. Once it was poured into the glass I was hit by the almost intense fruit aroma, generally that much of a fruit smell makes me a bit weary but this was actually quite a nice smell. Thankfully that fruit smell carried over into the taste in a way that wasn't too overpowering, it was fruity and sweet but in the right balance. This was another wine from the tasting so was had without food, but I believe it would go great with some nice spicy food. Though honestly this would be a nice wine to have somewhat chilled sitting outside on a nice night. And as for the cooking comment from before, I was told by those at the winery that this was a great wine to use to make brownies with by simply replacing the water in the recipe with this wine (a must try at some point I believe). So, in closing I think this would be a nice wine for anyone to try especially if you enjoy fruitier wines like pinot grigio.
