Doc Porter's Gin

Being very big into the various aromas of the things I drink Gin has always been very fascinating to me with just so many smells to discover with each glass. Which is why I was so happy to find this particular gin that not only had all I expected but also had a uniqueness to it that made it that much better. So let’s get to that fragrance which, as one would expect, is loaded with botanicals, herbs as well as some light tea and citrus aromas. Interestingly that citrus also carries nicely over into the taste, something I don’t see/taste often with gin. Along with that though you get a bit of cucumber carrying it into a very crisp finish. The taste does linger a bit, but for me it is more than welcome to stay. As for food pairing, gin can be tough to pair with but this particular one went quite nicely with a vindaloo I made and frankly I think I would enjoy it with any spicier foods thanks to that citrus. All together this makes for a very interesting and delicious bottle, and one which I’m quite happy to recommend to others.

TLDR Notes:

Smell - Botanicals, Herb, Tea, Citrus

Taste - Citrus, Cucumber

Finish - Crisp, Long Length

Cost - $32.95 for a bottle
