I’ve always loved a good vodka, but honestly tend to simply use it with mixers as I have personally found very few that I can drink straight up. So, when I do find one of those rare vodkas I remember and cherish them. This is one of those vodkas. Distilled with all wheat mash this is a unique and delicious beverage that has a nice smell of sugarcane to it with a bit of minerality. As for the flavours you of course get that strong taste of alcohol, it is 80 proof after all, but you also get these lovely hints of vanilla as well as an intriguing herbal note I couldn’t quite pin down. Then there is the finish, my favourite part of it all, which is very smooth with an almost creamy aftertaste that leaves that lovely vodka warmth in your stomach. Now of course you can drink this fine beverage mixed, on its own and of course with food. Which since it is a vodka would go wonderfully with any sort of pickled thing, but honestly I see this going very well with some smoked salmon. All in all this is a great drink at a surprisingly reasonable price from a craft distillery, and one which I’d say is very much worth a try.
