Rosé is a style of wine I’ve been appreciating more in recent years, especially when it comes to seeing the changes between Rosés of different varietals. As for this particular one, well it peaked my interest being made from my favorite grape, Sangiovese. So, once you get yourself a glass of this you are immediately hit with this lovely smell of apricot that pulls you right in. You also get some floral notes coming through, mainly of rose petal. Then once you take a sip you come once again to that apricot, but this time it’s joined with a bit of peach. There’s also this interesting minerality to the back end of the taste which I quite enjoyed. As for the finish, it lasts, but not for too entirely long and is of course a bit dry, but not very. What it does have though is a good acidity making it great to pair with a range of foods. I personally had this with some sun dried tomato couscous and it went wonderfully, but i can see this going just as well with many chicken or pork dishes. In the end it was a wonderful copper coloured Rosé that simply worked well in the glass and is a wine I’ll probably end up getting again.
