This is an old review I wrote for another site

Chambourcin is a popular varietal of wine for growers on the east coast, and for good reason it does tend to make for a nice wine like this one. For this particular wine you get this beautiful dark purple colour with a nice aroma of plums. For the taste you get some nice hints of vanilla and cherry with a fairly long finish to it, though honestly I wish it was a bit more. This is a really good wine to have with some pasta, I had a nice tomato and basil penne that was great. So if you enjoy a nice merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon then I would think you would like this wine.
