This is an old review I wrote for another site

Since I moved to Virginia I have had an interesting fascination with Norton wines, being one of the oldest and greatest of the native varietals of America. The aroma is quite nice with an almost spicy raspberry smell to it that you can't help but enjoy. Another thing that fascinates me about this wine is the taste, which I find to have and interesting licorice/chocolate taste to, it's subtle but very pleasing. I have always liked to have this with a nice cheese platter, perhaps with some sharp cheddar of gouda, and some good friends. But a nice pasta dinner is equally as nice, if you're not a fan of cheese (which I don't see how that’s possible). So, I would have to say if you're a fan of Cabernet Sauvignon's then you should probably like this wine and of course if you just like trying new things then you should be fine here.
